November 2009 and James Ruppert from Bangernomics.com and Matthew Tumbridge from Used Car Expert stand proudly by their Rover 800 Sterling before embarking on a 1500 mile journey to John ‘O’ Groats in aid of the Ben motor trade charity.
Obviously our Rover is the best looking, best equipped and just plain biggest and best value banger out of the 26 cars that made the journey.
Our theme was Minder, we reckon Arthur would have had a Rover Sterling on the lot so we decided to borrow one. Sadly a lot of the stickers did not make the full journey intact....
At John ‘O’ Groats with all the other vehicles and whilst many others had sundry cooling and brake problems the Sterling never missed a beat.
Slog the Dog made the journey with us and stayed on even when all the other stickers had long since disappeared.
One of these magnetic stickers was pinched we believe on the motorway services...please look after it...
